Jeff Cowan MBE DHypPsych(UK) GQHP HA

Jeff has had a full career in the Royal Navy, followed by several years based in the Middle East. Gosport is where Jeff chose to settle following his naval career and has now lived here for 15 years. On his return he set-up and managed several reputable businesses serving the Gosport community and the South Coast.

Jeff’s passions include reading, sailing, rugby, the odd game of snooker and walking the family dog Polly! He loves exploring the local area on his motorbike and regularly attends HOG meetings. Jeff is a family man and is a loving & caring husband, father and grandfather to 4 grandchildren.

Jeff became interested in Psychotherapy and Hypnotherapy and especially in understanding how it can help with people suffering from trauma or other life issues. Jeff has had first hand experience of conflicts in Northern Ireland and Middle and Far Eastern countries, where he saw servicemen return from war suffering from severe trauma, wounds and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). This continues as service personnel return from Afghanistan and Iraq and Jeff felt that his background combined with this type of therapy could start to help people. However, his vision to help does not just stop with Ex-Service personnel; he is also dedicated to enabling everyone to make the life changes they desire.

Jeff has undertaken extensive training, completing the Professional Diploma in Hypnotherapy and Solution Focused Psychotherapy with Jill Wootton of ‘Within Sight’ at Brighton University.

Although a specialist in ‘battle trauma’ and PTSD he has also completed the NCHP ‘Hypnosis in Childbirth’ course and is an Easibirthing Practitioner
